Father Gabriel and the Parishioners of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas invite you to their annual Parish Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 17, at St. Joseph’s Social Center located on Church Grounds.

This month is the Opry’s annual tribute to the late and great Hank Williams Sr. who would have turned 100 years old this month. Portraying Hank Williams the Opry is proud to have young Wyatt Aleman to sing and play songs by the late and great Hank Williams, Wyatt Aleman is a 18-year-old from Harwood who is going into his senior year at Lighthouse Christian Academy and is excited about designing his own senior ring. He loves to play traditional country and western swing music. Two of his favorite Artists are, Hank Williams, Sr. and Bob Wills.

WINCHESTER - In an inspiring feat that spotlights the power of dedication and community service, Patricia “Trish” Herzog, a lifelong Fayette County resident and beloved member of the Combined Community Action (CCA) team, has recently achieved a remarkable milestone by earning her Building Science Principles Certificate from the Building Performance Institute. The certification is one of many on the path to becoming a QCI and this achievement is a testament to Trish’s commitment to enhancing the lives of others through her expertise and kindness.

A big crowd showed up to the High Hill Picnic Sunday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in High Hill. The parish sold 3,160 dinner plates before they ran out of fried chicken. Picnic Chair Joyce Dittrich said the parish had not yet calculated proceeds from the auction. “I think we did really well in the auction,” Dittrich said. “The whole picnic was great. Our fireworks show was great. We were blessed with a very good day. There were a lot of people and everyone had a good time.”

The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is excited about holding their first annual three day revival on Friday, Oct. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 8. Start making plans now and mark your calendars! The festival begins on Friday, Oct. 6 in the pavilion across from the church with a “get to know ya” potluck dinner and fellowship at 6 p.m. Then at 7 p.m. Pastor Dwayne Williams will bring the message.

The Texas A&M School of Nursing and their Mobile Health Unit will be on the Round Top-Carmine campuses every Wednesday during the school year. Their schedule will rotate from morning to afternoon. All students, staff, and community members are eligible to be seen.
