2025 Fayette County Fair Bar-B-Q Cook-Off Winners

Reserve Champions
Overall Reserve Champions – The “Navaque” team of, left to right, James Nava of Bastrop and his father James Nava Sr.
First Place Brisket – The “Good and Ready” team of, left to right, Tiger Hall, Michael Tofel and David Tofel, and front, Frank and Lillian Tofel.
First Place Steak – The “You Kill It We Grill It” team of, left to right, Nicole Vasut, Reeanna Ramirez and Jason Vasut.
First Place Pork Butt – The “Linemen Who Cook” team of, left to right, Justin Whited, Amanda Whited and Mason Saleman.
New this year was a kids’ BBQ cookoff contest, in which local young people cooked a pork chop that was judged. Here are all the kid competitors.

Third place in the kids’ BBQ cook-off was won by Kortlynd Schramm.
Second place in the kids’ BBQ cook-off was won by Bernard Turner.
First place in the kids’ BBQ cook-off was won by Reeanna Ramirez.

The 2025 Fayette County Fair Bar-B-Q Cookoff was held Saturday at the fairgrounds in La Grange. David’s Tofel’s Team “Good and Ready” repeated as county grand champs.
