Jocelyn Elizabeth Brooks, daughter of Cheryl and Michael Dillon of Austin and granddaughter of Carolyn and Bob Heinsohn of La Grange, recently graduated with her Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Mo., with the distinction of being an editor for the Law Review for two years. She has accepted a position with Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw, Pittman LLP, a corporate law firm in New York City.

Zachary Charanza, a Political Science major from Flatonia, was named to the University of Louisiana Monroe’s Spring 2026 Dean’s List. Eligibility for the Dean’s List requires full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 semester hours completed) and the list is calculated based on the following G.P.A.

Fayette County 4-H members participated in the District 11 4-H Spring Spectacular Contest on May 5 and 6 in Victoria. Events included Public Speaking, Educational Presentations, 4-H Has Talent, and Consumer Decision Making.

The La Grange 4-H Club recently celebrated their final meeting of the school year. In recognition of America’s 250th birthday, they created birthday kits to donate to the AMEN Food Pantry.

Nicholas Garner, son of Bobby and Donna (Peck) Garner of Katy, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in scouting. He is the grandson of Don and Kay Peck of Huntsville, formerly of La Grange, and Terry and Glenda Garner of Troy, North Carolina.
