Senior Connections Thankful For Volunteers

Senior Connections in Schulenburg has a new monthly calendar out and are excited about the speakers coming to our Center on Mondays to inform us of relevant issues. We have our Bingo callers set up on Wednesdays, there are some delicious meals that have been planned, and some great activities and outings to go to.

La Grange Chamber Hosts Entrepreneurship Symposium

The La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce hosted an Entrepreneurship Symposium at Casino Hall on Thursday, March 7. The keynote speaker was Michelle Savage, founder and publisher of Sulit Press, an independent book publishing business.

St. Rose Students Compete In Hallettsville

On Thursday, Feb. 8, St. Rose of Lima Catholic School students in grades 1-8 had the opportunity to compete at the Sacred Heart Academic meet in Hallettsville.

Cliffords Recognized By DAR Chapter

The John Everett Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and the Robert Rankin No. 62 SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) recognized Bill and Elizabeth Clifford for their American flag display for March. Their house is located at 1176 CR 285, Weimar. Bill said he was an Army veteran and that they were proud and honored to fly the American flag. Easter BBQ, Egg Hunt Coming Up in Fayetteville

Easter Egg Hunt 

Hop over for a fun-filled easter egg hunt to be held by The City of Fayetteville on Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. on the square. Kids aged up to 12 can hunt for candy-filled eggs and enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny. Donations are welcome and baked goodies will be available for sale. Bring a basket. St. Joseph’s Continues Easter Picnic in Moulton

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton will host an Easter Picnic, March 31. The Easter Picnic has been a Moulton tradition. The event will be held on Easter Sunday at the St. Joseph’s Social Center.

Ellinger Volunteer Fire Dept. Receives Donation from Incredible Knockouts

Shared Lutheran Ministry The next Wednesday service on March 20 will be in Rutersville at St. John with the service starting at 6:30 p.m. Soup Supper will start at 5:30 p.m. Lenten offerings will be designated for AMEN. The topic for this service is titled God’s Will and My Responses. All are welcome.

St. John in Ellinger will have Easter service at 8 a.m. on March 31st with Pastor Phil. Ellinger will also host the Good Friday service at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Make plans to attend.
