On Thursday, Feb. 8, St. Rose of Lima Catholic School students in grades 1-8 had the opportunity to compete at the Sacred Heart Academic meet in Hallettsville.
The John Everett Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and the Robert Rankin No. 62 SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) recognized Bill and Elizabeth Clifford for their American flag display for March. Their house is located at 1176 CR 285, Weimar. Bill said he was an Army veteran and that they were proud and honored to fly the American flag. Easter Egg Hunt
Hop over for a fun-filled easter egg hunt to be held by The City of Fayetteville on Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. on the square. Kids aged up to 12 can hunt for candy-filled eggs and enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny. Donations are welcome and baked goodies will be available for sale. Bring a basket. Shared Lutheran Ministry The next Wednesday service on March 20 will be in Rutersville at St. John with the service starting at 6:30 p.m. Soup Supper will start at 5:30 p.m. Lenten offerings will be designated for AMEN. The topic for this service is titled God’s Will and My Responses. All are welcome.
St. John in Ellinger will have Easter service at 8 a.m. on March 31st with Pastor Phil. Ellinger will also host the Good Friday service at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Make plans to attend.
