Entertainers this month are Rocky King and Wyatt Aleman.

At an early age, Rocky was exposed to the music of the legendary Hoyle Nix and his West Texas Cowboys. Rocky’s parents took him along to dances at The Stampede in Big Spring, where his love for the fiddle and country and western swing music was born. He was lucky to witness some of the finest dance music ever. On his fifth birthday, his parents bought him a fiddle and took him to Jody Nix for his first lessons, where the “fire” was lit that still drives him today.

Rocky has had the honor to play with several bands in the past ten years that play the music he loves, including some of his heroes. He is appreciative of the people who have allowed him to play, and further his knowledge of real country music and western swing, including: Justin Trevino, Darrell McCall, Tony Booth, Fiddlin’ Frenchie Burke, Curtis Potter, and many other great musicians.

He is an awesome singer and fiddle player and he has his own band called The Rocky King Band and plays good country music all over the state of Texas.

WyattAleman is a 21-yearold from Harwood who loves to play the fiddle and the steel guitar. He started playing the fiddle when he was ten years old, and has now been playing the steel guitar just a little over three years. He loves playing traditional county music and western swing music. Besides playing fiddle and steel guitar he also taught himself to play upright bass, guitar, drums keyboard and mandolin.

In October 2025 Wyatt was awarded the “Traditional County Artist of the Year for 2026 by the CMAof Texas. In May of 2024 he was inducted into The Cowtown Society of western Music as a “Rising Artist of the year”. Wyatt has had the privilege to play at many different venues with many wonderful artists such as Jimmy Fortune, Johnny Bush, Penny Gilley Tommy Allsup, Darrel McCall, Randy Travis and several other amazing artists.

On Dec. 17, 2025 Wyatt aired on KBON Radio Show and KDCG TV Show called “Swamp and Roll’, in Louisiana. It can all be seen on YouTube. Last year he aired on RFD TV on the Penny Gilley Show and now this season for 2026, Wyatt is featured as a regular performer on ”The Penny Gilley Show” every week.

In between his travels, Wyatt is working very hard towards getting his own music studio opened, so he can each music lessons.
