Scholarship for Faith Lutheran High School Available
Applications are now being accepted for an academicbased scholarship from the Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will pay for the full tuition for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2025. Applications are due May 1, 2025 and are available from FLHS or from Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.
TWHS Fish Fry Fundraiser The Texas Wendish Heritage Society will be hosting their annual Fish Fry Fundraiser on Sunday, March 16 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Serbin Picnic Grounds. The meal will consist of fried fish, potato salad, beans, coleslaw and hush puppies. Cost is $15 per plate. Reservations will be taken by calling (979) 3662441 or email museum@texaswendish. org.
Serbin 4-H Fried Chicken The Serbin 4-H will have their annual Fried Chicken Scholarship Fundraiser on Sunday, March 30 from 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Serbin Picnic Grounds. Tickets are $15 and available through March 21. Contact the church office at (979) 366-9650 for ticket information. Warda Show Fund
The Warda Bunch Show Fund, supporters of the Lee County Junior Livestock Show Exhibitors, will have a BBQ Pork Fundraiser on Saturday, April 5. BBQ pork butts will be sold by the piece. Each piece will be approx. 2.5-4 lbs. for $12 a lb. Cups of sauce are $3 each. Orders for the piece (not pound), can be placed by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333 by March 26. Proceeds go toward continued support of the Livestock Show Exhibitors.
Concordia Seminary Choir Concordia Seminary Choir Tour will present Laudamus 2025 Tour, “My Song is Love Unknown” at 10 a.m. on Wednesday March 19 at St. Paul Lutheran Serbin. Laudamus is a select choir of seminarians from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis who are preparing for full time pastoral ministry. Everyone is invited to attend.
Gladys Giese Honored
Robin Wedgeworth and her daughter Lesley Svrcek, attended the League of Women’s Voters Awards ceremony held Sunday, March 9. They were grateful to accept an award in honor of Gladys Giese, who was the originator of the Warda News Column in The Fayette County Record. Gladys was recognized for her many years of service with an outstanding award in the Heritage Category.
Sewing Circle
The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.
Game Day at Holy Cross
The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday March 20 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.
Central Texas Food Truck
The Central Texas Food Truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church on March 15 from 10-11 a.m. Drive thru only.
Holy Cross Services
Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.
Morning Bible Study
The Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group meets at 11:30 a.m. They are studying the book of Galatians.
Night Bible Study

The Post Oak Zone Rally will be held at Holy Cross Followship Hall on Sunday, March 31, beginning at 1:30 p.m. and hosted by the ladies of Mount Calvery. Speaker will be Rev. Ryan Neuhaus, CEO of Camp Lone Star.
GEMS to Meet
GEMS (Girls Embracing Mission Service), will meet on Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall. They will finish the t-shirt jump rope project, enjoy some fellowship, devotionals time, and snacks.

Shadow days are a great opportunity for prospective students to follow along for a day and experience what FLHS is all about. 8th grade parents are welcome to call the school and schedule a shadow day for their child.
