Winners of the livestock proficiency quiz were (from left) Gage Smrkovsky-junior division reserve champion, Crockett Guenther-junior division grand champion, Kyrroll Prihoda-senior division reserve champion, and Jolene Jarvis-senior division grand champion.

Herdsman awards went to (from left) Rowdy Guenther-cattle, Frank Martinez-rabbits, Colton Lewis-broilers, Bo Brossmann-goats, Abraham McBride-swine and Zoey Krenek-sheep.

Winners of the Ag Mechanics Show were (from left) Cody Biersdorfer, who won reserve champion for a work table; and Brayden Stoever, who won grand champion for a greenhouse.

Brennan Chudej won grand champion in the floral cup division. Lilly Wotipka (not pictured) won reserve champion.

Showmanship awards went to (front, from left) Kylee Hoffmann-breeding goats, Kimber Bartosch- breeding sheep, Kyrroll Prihoda-beef heifers, Mikayla Stang-market steers and dairy, Abe McBride-breeding swine, (back) Holden Holub-market sheep, Hayden Martinez-market rabbits, Morgan Steinhauser-broilers, Hudson Holub-market goats, and Olivia Hammack-market swine.

The 2026 Schulenburg Junior Livestock Show took place January 22-24. Grand and reserve champion winners in the market division were pictured in last Friday’s paper. Pictured below are additional winners and award recipients. Total proceeds from the premium sale amounted to $420,758.25.
