Fayette County EEA Attends District Conference, Honors Milestones

Fayette County Extension Education Association (EEA) members attended the recent District 11 EEA Spring Conference which was hosted by Washington County EEA membership. The Keynote Speaker was State Senator Lois Kolkhorst, who spoke to the historic traditions of the Extension Education Clubs and their community service and commitment to their country and homes.

During the business meeting members were given information on the 2026 State Conference which will be held in College Station in honor of the establishment of their organization’s 100th Anniversary.

Also, membership awards were presented to Donna Burton, Walhalla EEA Club, who received her 40th year award and the Walhalla Club received a 90th year Club Award. Wharton County EEA members also extended an invitation to all District 11 members to come to their Fall Officer Training workshop.
