Ezra Charles Plays Sold-Out Benefit Concert in Fayetteville

Ezra Charles Plays Sold-Out Benefit Concert in Fayetteville

Renown Houston piano player Ezra Charles played a sold-out benefit concert at the Fayetteville Community Center on January 10th. The enthusiastic crowd was treated to Charles’ up tempo playing backed up by his son, Jake, on drums and his long-time friend, Earnest Potts, on saxophone. Ezra Charles is a Texas icon and a piano legend who has been playing professionally for 60 years. He donated the concert to benefit the Fayetteville Community Center & Performance Theater, a project which he has supported from the beginning. At the end of his concert Charles gave a heart-felt talk about the importance of such venues in our daily lives, especially in rural areas with fewer cultural opportunities.
