Bingo on the Square in Fayetteville Draws Over 115 Players

More than 115 players and 20 volunteers gathered at the Fayetteville Community Center last Sunday for Bingo on the Square.

Stor Closing 

Prohibition Liquor will be closing Aug. 1.

School Open House 

FISD is holding an Open House on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. The 2026-27 school year begins Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Theatre Performance 

The Fayette County Community Theatre (FCCT) is presenting Arthur Giron’s “Edith Stein” this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Parish Hall in Fayetteville. This haunting and passionate drama tells the story of Edith Stein.

A Jewish intellectual, Stein converted to Roman Catholicism, joined a Carmelite nunnery and was martyred at Auschwitz. Pope John Paul II later canonized her.

Country Festival 

The Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church-Frelsburg Country Festival is this Sunday on the church grounds at 1031 Church Lane in New Ulm. Enjoy a day of great food, fellowship, and fun for the whole family.

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic 

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 5 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church 

St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on

Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren 

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
