2nd Annual Armed Forces Appreciation Ball Held

This the Color Guard provided by Marine Corps League Detachment 1028. Left to right are Richard Chance (Commandant), Montana Ollie, Willie Mathews, and David Wyman.

Shown here is B.J. Anderson. He is 101 and a half years old and a Veteran of World War II. He received a folded US Flag (presented by Danny Vyvjala (Commander of Post 94), along with a rousing standing ovation for being the oldest veteran present.

Shown here is Montana Ollie the youngest veteran present at 29 years old, received a folded US Flag (presented by Danny Vyvjala (Commander of Post 94).

Isabel Davenport sang the National Anthem.

The 2nd Annual Armed Forces Appreciation Dinner and Dance was held on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 190 S. Brown St., La Grange.

All funds raised from this event will be used to support the needs of our local Fayette County veterans.
