In Loving Memory of Paul Jack Faist (82) Paul Jack Faist passed away peacefully on Sept. 19, 2024, surrounded by his family, his greatest pride and joy. He was born on Jan. 20, 1942, in Reading, England, during WWII. After the war, the family relocated to Welcome, Texas. Paul went on to graduate from Bellville High School class of 1960. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years, earning the rank of E5 Sergeant as a David Crockett nuclear squad leader. Paul later moved to Houston, Texas, where he met and married his first love, Dorothy “Dottie” Ann Mitschke. Together, they raised two children, Julie and Jason, and owned and operated Datronics and Welcome Air businesses. After Dottie’s passing, Paul found love again with Jeanette Craig, affectionately known as “Greannie,” by their grandkids. In retirement, he loved being a full-time farmer. Paul Faist leaves behind a legacy of joy, warmth, and love. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all fortunate enough to share in his remarkable life journey.

Funeral services for Larry Noble Baker were held Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m.

A graveside service for William Charles Barnes III, 72, of Houston was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 at the Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter. Dr. Duane Brooks, Pastor of William’s Houston home church, Tallowood, officiated.

Barbara Eileen (Adamcik) Mitschke peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 16, 2024, in Austin, after a brief and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.

James Charles “JC” Kaiser, 92, of La Grange, passed away on Sept. 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Fred Henry Tiemann, age 77, passed away on Aug. 22, 2024 at his home in Oldenburg.

Agnes Marie Hannes, affectionately known as Aggie, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, at the age of 78.

Smithville: Gussie (Augustina) Walla, 86, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024.

Joachim “Joe” Paul Pater was born in Matzkirch, Germany on June 30, 1934, to Fritz and Martha Urbach Pater. At the end of World War II, the Pater family relocated to Hamelin, Germany.
