Virginia Busby Waldvogel had a fortuitous start in Hattiesburg, Miss. adopted at birth by Dr. Eugene Busby and his wife Edna, née Amacher. She joined two previously adopted sons, Mike and Bob, whom she adored and remained close with all their lives (Bob passed in 2019; Mike and his wife Lynne live in Spring, Texas).

Services for Nicky Guzman, 78, of Bryan, were held at 10 a.m., April 19, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Rutersville, with Pastor Candy O’Meara officiating. Interment followed at Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top.

Kenneth Patrick Jurecka, long-time friend and barber to many Fayette County residents, died Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with cancer. Kenneth grew up in Fayetteville and was the youngest of four boys.
