Funeral services for Nell Schneider, 86 of Giddings, are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville with Father James Olnhausen officiating. Burial will follow in the Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter.
A reception will immediately follow the committal service at the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall in Ledbetter.
Nellie Marie (Franklin) Schneider was born on Dec. 5, 1935 in Mart. She was the daughter of James Edward Franklin and Alma Marie (Lowe) Franklin. On April 21, 1956, Nell was united in marriage to William “Bill” Eugene Schneider. They were married for 55 years when Bill preceded her in death on June 18, 2011.
Nell passed away the evening of Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Houston Methodist West Hospital.
Nell is survived by her three children, Jana Bingham and her husband, Earl “Buddy” Jr. of Boerne, Wayne Schneider and his wife, Kim of Hockley, and Carol DeFoor and her husband, Andrew of Sugar Land; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one brother, Alan Franklin and his wife, Karen of Tatum.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
