Funeral services for Frieda Wernecke, 90 of Giddings, were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner and Rev. Josh Hahn officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
Frieda Ruth Wernecke was born on May 9, 1933 in Giddings, the daughter of Gustav Emil Wernecke and Selma Bertha (Prellop) Wernecke.
Frieda passed away the afternoon of Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Harmony Care at Giddings.
Frieda is survived by her sister, Lillie Winter of Austin; eight nieces, as well as several great nieces, great nephews, great, great nieces, great, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Train Up a Child Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
