Wied
Wied “To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children…to leave the world a better place…to know even one life has breathed easier because you lived. This is to have succeeded.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson Cynthia Sue (Fuchs) Wied was born on Dec. 7, 1954, in Brenham, one of two daughters born to Howard Fred Fuchs and Joyce Lydia (Ullrich) Fuchs. She graduated from Round Top-Carmine High School. On June 16, 1973, Cynthia was united in marriage to Roy Wied at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. She worked for many years at the Brenham Clinic in Brenham.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville where she volunteered her time helping with the annual church feast. Cynthia was also a longtime supporter and volunteer with the Round Top-Carmine 4H program. She enjoyed taking pictures, going to the deer lease, and their family trips to Rockport.
She enjoyed any type of arts and crafts project and was always happy to assist her grandsons with their various school projects. Cynthia’s life truly revolved around her family, and especially her four grandsons with her being anywhere they were and supporting them whether it was a sporting event, school program, 4H project or just being available for them. When remembering her, Cynthia’s love for her family is one of the first things that comes to mind along with everything she did to make their lives easier and happier.
