Jarol “J.J.” Vasek, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, in her hometown of La Grange, at the age of 74. She was born on Jan. 17, 1951, to the late Lee and Elsie Huebel.

J.J. was a graduate of La Grange High School and proudly retired from H-E-B, where she devoted 34 years of service. She also had a deep love for animals. She especially adored her pets, Roxy and Patches, who brought her so much joy and comfort. Her compassion for all creatures was one of the many things that made her so special.

J.J. is survived by her loving family, including her son, Mike Vasek and his wife, Erica, her granddaughter, Marley, and her son, Ryan Vasek. She also leaves behind her sister, Nancy. J.J. was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: David and Harvey, and her sisters: Betty and Shirley.

J.J.’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her coworkers at H-E-B for their support and friendship throughout J.J.’s career. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the memories she created will continue to inspire smiles and laughter for years to come.

A visitation will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations of La Grange on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 5 - 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter or to a charity of one’s choice.
