Brenda Gale (Naumann) Varner, 64, of Muldoon, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Brenda was born in La Grange on Nov. 21, 1960, the daughter of Lesley and Pearlie (Sicko) Naumann.

She worked at a video store known as the Video Specialists and she was known as “the movie club lady” around town from 1986-1996. Brenda then began her career at MICO Machine Company in La Grange and worked as a Shipping Supervisor from 1996-2024 until the company closed its doors. After MICO Machine closed, she decided to retire and enjoy as much time as she could with her family and friends.

Brenda was a very caring person with such a big heart. Her family and friends were everything to her. She was a caregiver for many loved ones throughout her life including both of her parents. She was always there for every milestone in her loved one’s lives including family and friends and all you had to do was pick up the phone and she would be there day or night.

Her two grandsons were her world and she spent every moment she could with them including every sporting event rain or shine and throughout every milestone in their lives. They were what kept her going after her husband, Michael, passed away 13 years ago.

When she was younger, Brenda would volunteer at the Round Up Hall during dances and at the La Grange Fair. She knew everyone in the community since she was born and raised in La Grange and assisted the public during her Video Specialists days.

Brenda loved motorcycles and enjoyed riding them when she was younger and her dream was to own a Harley Davidson one day.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Justice and husband, Jimmy, of Bastrop; three brothers: Roger Naumann and wife, Tina, of Willis; Ron Naumann of Fayetteville; and Randy Naumann and wife, Ednoa, of Muldoon; two sisters-in-law: Carla Gilmer and husband, Mark, of Odessa and Melissa Mitchell and husband, Michael, of Odessa; two grandchildren: Trystan and Cayden Justice; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, they know who they are.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lesley and Pearlie Naumann; her husband, Michael Varner, who passed away on Jan. 4, 2012; father-in-law and motherin- law, Tommy and Margaret Varner; and sister-in-law, Kathy Howell.
