Elsie Svrcek, 90, of Rockdale, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home in Rockdale.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Father John Doiko officiating. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. on Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers are Willie Barcak, Victor Svetlik, Bernie Doud, Chad Ehler, Phil Konarik, and Lambert Skubal, Jr.

Elsie was born on Jan. 6, 1934 to John and Mary (Kubena) Kadlecek in La Grange. On Feb. 12, 1955, she married Daniel Svrcek in La Grange, they spent 60 years together until his death on May 10, 2015. They moved to Rockdale in 1971. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Ladies Society.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Kadlecek; husband, Daniel Svrcek; son, Steven Mark Svrcek; and brother, Johnnie Kadlecek.

Elsie is survived by her sons, David Wayne Svrcek and wife Janet of Rockdale, and Kenneth Daniel Svrcek and wifeAnnette of Rockdale; daughter, Michelle Baban and husband Nathan of Rockdale; grandchildren, David Steven Svrcek and wife Rachel, Dustin Wayne Svrcek and wife Stephanie, Brandi Lee Jones, and Colt Kenneth Svrcek and wife Madison; and great grandchildren, William Aiden Svrcek, Noah James Svrcek, Finnley Wayne Svrcek, Julia Lee Jones, and Hayes Daniel Svrcek.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
