Joseph Vincent Svrcek, 64, of Flatonia passed away on Monday, Feb. 14, 2022.

Joseph was born in La Grange on April 5, 1957, the son of Edmund and Bernice (Minarcik) Svrcek.

He started his career as a Machinist for Dresser-Atlas in Houston and continued his career in Logistics for Cal-Maine in Flatonia.

Joseph was a very hard worker. He enjoyed taking time off for deer hunting in Wimberley each deer season.

He is survived by daughter, Melissa Smith and husband, Dalton, of Katy; son, Joseph Edmund Svrcek of Katy; daughter, Dawn Marie Svrcek-White and husband, Chris, of Brazoria; three sisters: Shirley Polasek and husband, Leonard, of La Grange; Patsy Stavinoha and husband, Leroy, of Lyons; Terry Brooks of Swiss Alp; brother, Robert Svrcek and wife, Carol, of La Grange; brother-in-law, Dennis Belota of La Grange; four wonderful grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sharon Belota.

A memorial service will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022. A Rosary will be recited prior to the service at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fayette County Junior Livestock Show Foundation or Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter.
