Dr. David Marion Stahl, age 95, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022. He was born on July 23, 1927 to Joseph and Clara Stahl in Schulenburg.

He was a member of the Phi Sigma Delta Fraternity and was elected to the honorary pre-med (AED) and honorary medical society (AOA). In 1945, he voluntarily interrupted his medical career to join the United States Navy as a Naval Corpsman until 1947. During his military service, David extended his medical career as a Pharmacist. His service enabled him to assist fellow military men who were wounded in WWII. After his honorary discharge, he continued his medical education at Baylor College of Medicine from 1948-1952. He completed his internship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine from 1952-1953 and became a resident of Urology in 1953-1956. Dr. and Mrs. Stahl turned their weekend retreat into their fulltime residence in La Grange in 1997. Dr. Stahl was a devoted husband, dedicated father, and loving grandfather. He would go above and beyond for the happiness of his family and friends. He touched many lives with his generosity and always making others laugh with his quirky sense of humor. He loved his furry companions whether it was his dog riding along side of him in his truck or the cat lying on his office desk or in his lap. He enjoyed watching game shows and westerns and was an avid reader. He was a member of First Baptist Church of La Grange where he was blessed with long lasting friendships. He will be greatly missed by all.
