Artie Lee Schultz, 91 of La Grange, was called to her heavenly home Dec. 8, 2024 and entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church on Friday, Dec. 20, from 10 - 11 a.m. with family present to receive friends and family. Service to follow at 11 a.m.

Artie enjoyed gardening and her collection of roses, day lilies and perennials. Artie was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and an active participant in the Mary Martha Guild and the quilting group at the church. She also contributed to her community through her activities with the La Grange Garden Club, the VFW and Hermann Sons.

Artie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Artie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Mathews and husband Micheal; grandson, Andrew Baxter; sister, Gladys Svec; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Heintschel; brother, Milton Heintschel and wife Ann, brother, Lambert and wife Angela.

Artie was preceded in death by her husband James; her daughter, Anna Baxter; her parents, Leona and Leon Heintschel Sr.; her sisters, Leara and husband Robert Lee Henneke, and Ruth Ann Seifert and husband A.F; her brother, Leon Heintschel Jr. and brother-in-law, Theo Svec.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to honor Artie be sent to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and Preschool or the charity of your choice.
