Ross Walter “Walt” Raymond Ross Sr., 78 of La Grange and Rockdale, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025 from a Copperhead snake bite.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Laine Alan Ross and son, Walter Raymond (Ray) Ross, Jr.

He is survived by three sons, William Ross, Kenneth Ross, and Lawrence Ross; one daughter, Angela Ross; thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He was a proud and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of La Grange since November 2010. He served as head usher 13 years and a safety team member for several years. He loved his family and church very much. He’ll be sadly missed but not forgotten.
