Rogge

Marianne Walla Rogge passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born on Sept. 24, 1936 in Plum to John and Anna Vacula Walla. She married Lee Allen Rogge on Aug. 11, 1979 in Brenham.

Marian graduated from La Grange High School in 1955. She was retired from the Brenham State School and had also worked for Maddox Furniture Company in Brenham. She was an avid seamstress and loved to crochet.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Lee Allen Rogge. She is also survived by nephews, John Mayne (Deborah) of Waco, Donald Mayne (Gladys) and Gerald Mayne, all of Corpus Christi, Robert Mayne (Sandra) of Richmond, Michael Walla of Deer Park. Ronald Walla (Claudia) of Brenham, Richard Walla (Amy) of Cypress, David Walla (Kathy) of La Grange, and Dwayne Rogge of Brenham; nieces, Laurie Reho of Deer Park, Susan Cherry (Chris) of West Point, Linda Svrcek (Brian) of La Grange, Tully Groteluschen of Australia, Shannon Padgett (Branden) of Lake Buchanan, and Connie Smith (Tom) of League City; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Walla, Frank Walla and wife Lillian, Leonard Walla and wife Laura; sister Margaret Mayne and husband, Elmo “Pete”; niece, Melanie Mayne Conner; brothers-in-law, Theodore Rogge, Jr. and wife, Bernice, and Col. Henry Rogge and wife, Alice.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Brenham. A private burial will be held at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
