Rangel de Villasana
Patricia Rangel de Villasana, 50, of La Grange entered into eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021.
Patricia was born in Hildalgo, Zacatecas, Mexico, on April 30, 1970, the daughter of the late Alejandro Rangel Escareño and Maria Jaramillo de Leon.
She married Ubaldo Villasana at La Iglesia Corazón de Maria in Mexico on Nov. 8, 1997. They were later blessed with their two sons: Diego and Ubaldo.
Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. What brought her the most enjoyment in life was surrounding herself by her family and friends. She was so proud of her two sons who meant the world to her.
Patricia had such a gentle loving spirit. She was the type of person that would always put others before herself. She loved entertaining at her home, and would spend countless hours decortating and rearranging the house to ensure that it looked perfect for her guests.
The most beautiful attrirbute about Patricia that her family will always cherish would be her infectious smile and her ability to live life to the fullest. She could always lift people up when they were down with her words of encouragement and by her strong faith that she had in the Lord.
Patricia was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Annunciation No. 1962.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-three years, Ubaldo Villasana; two sons: Ubaldo Alejandro Villasana and Diego Eloy Villasana all of La Grange; mother, Maria Jaramillo de Leon of Torreón, Mexico; three sisters: Juanita Rangel Jaramillo and husband, Roberto Gallegos Moreira of Hidalgo Zacatecas, Mexico; Laura Rangel Jaramillo of Torreón Coahuila, Mexico; and Olga Rangel de Orona and husband, Hector Orona Soto of La Grange; one brother, Eloy Rangel Jaramillo and wife, Guadalupe Palomino of Torreón Coahuila, Mexico; father and mother-in-law, Eloy and Maria Villasana; one brother-in-law, Victor Villasana and wife, Velia; three sisters-in-law: Nidia Ramirez and husband, Miguel; Lidia Orona and husband, Enrique; all of La Grange, and Lucy Hernandez and husband, Ricky of Brenham; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Alejandro Rangel Escareño and nephew, Edgar Rangel.
In an abundance of caution due to the recent COVID-19 operating procedures, the funeral home will be following the recommendations of the Governor and County Judge. Face masks must be worn in the church and social distancing up to six feet apart must be observed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021. Burial will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery.
