Georgia Marie Popp, a beacon of kindness and generosity, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Jan. 20, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on Aug. 5, 1939, in La Grange, Georgia’s life was a tapestry woven with love, service, and unwavering faith. Her final days were spent in Brookdale-Spring Shadows Memory Care in Houston.

Georgia’s presence was a gift to all who knew her. She was the embodiment of faith-filled living, her kindness a gentle force that left a lasting impact. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she approached life with a heart full of grace. Weekends spent in La Grange rekindled the fond memories of her youth, and she cherished these moments, connecting with her roots and the simple pleasures of life.

As we bid farewell to Georgia Marie Popp, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. She was a woman who illuminated the lives of those around her, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her journey on earth may have ended, but the seeds of goodness she planted will blossom for generations to come. May she rest in peace, secure in the knowledge that she was dearly loved and her memory will be treasured forever.

Georgia was preceded by her parents, George P. Rainosek and Agnes (Knebel) Rainosek, and husband of 63 years, Herman J. Popp.
