Donna Sue Phillips (Sump), 68, passed unexpectedly in her earthly home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Donna was the youngest of three born to Ernest and Sue (La Sha) Sump on Feb. 4, 1956. She accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized at the 1st Baptist Church at age 9, and cherished her relationship with God for all of her years on Earth. Donna attended Giddings public school, and held multiple careers throughout her lifetime. She had a true servant’s heart and valued her strong work ethic. She worked for the Texas Youth Commission for many years, but her most enjoyed career was during her time at Murphy’s Steakhouse.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Tim Pitts officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
Funeral arangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
