Musgrove

Willa Mae L. (Schulle) Musgrove, 81, of Warrenton passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2022.

Willa Mae was born on Dec. 16, 1940, to Herman and Paula (Drawe) Schulle. She was baptized on Jan. 13, 1941, confirmed on March 25, 1956, and graduated from Round Top-Carmine High School in 1959.

On Sept. 10, 1988, Willa Mae married Carl Musgrove at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Warrenton. They were blessed with 17 years of marriage.

Willa Mae enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, dominoes, doing cross-stitch and listening to Elvis Presley music. She also loved spending time with her family down at the coast and taking care of her cat, Carley.

Willa Mae is survived by two sons, Brian Marek and wife, Lanna of La Grange; Ryan Marek and wife, Gina of La Grange; one step-son, Carlton Musgrove and wife, Gladys of Winchester. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Willa Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Musgrove; brother, El Gene Schulle; sister, Corine (Etzel) Levien; sister-in-law, Mae Dell (Marek) Harms; and brother-in-law, Wilburn Harms.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral Services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Warrenton, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022. Burial followed at Drawe Cemetery in Warrenton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Drawe Cemetery Association at 553 W. La Fayette, La Grange, Texas, Gardenia E. Jannsen Animal Shelter, La Grange, Texas or a charity of choice.
