Mozisek

Bernard Ignac Mozisek, 90, of La Grange, passed away on Jan. 15, 2023.

A visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023 from 4-6 p.m., Rosary at 6 p.m., at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum with interment following at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn. A reception will follow interment at the Sts. Peter and Paul Church.

Bernard was born on July 31, 1932 to Frank and Mary Mozisek in La Grange. He married his wife of 53 years, Margie (Dieringer) Mozisek on Nov. 21, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. They had two sons, Brian and Bruce Mozisek.

Bernard graduated from La Grange High School and began working as the General Manager for Gulf Coast Feeds, where he worked for 25 years. From 1983 until his retirement, he worked as the General Manager at D&D Ace Hardware which became the Mozisek family-owned business in 1998. Bernard was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the KJT Society. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and he will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Bruce Mozisek and wife Tammy, and Brian Mozisek, all of La Grange; three grandchildren, Weston Mozisek and wife Megan, Wade Mozisek and wife Kelly, and Whitney Leer and husband Kurt; great grandchildren, Slade, Stella and Sutton Mozisek, Rylee and Emma Mozisek, and Lawson and Lainey Leer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Mozisek; parents, Frank and Mary Mozisek; sisters, Edith (Victor) Kristek and Lillian Mozisek; and one brother, Anton (Annie) Mozisek.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Building Fund or Masses.
