It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arlie “Butch” Moore, who Dec. 16, 2024. Butch was born on July 3, 1961, in Winchester, Va., to Ethel and Arlie Moore. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, touching the hearts of everyone he met.

Butch’s journey began in his hometown of Spring, where Butch and his siblings grew up under the loving care of his parents. He graduated from Spring High School, then further continued his education at North-Harris Community College where he graduated with an associates degree. Following his education, Butch embarked on a career that would see him working for Weber, Southern Crush and later in his career, SouthBelt. He made many friends and left a lasting impact on his coworkers.

In 1994, Butch married the love of his life, Sharon Moore. Their 30 years of marriage were a testament to their unwavering commitment and love for one another. Together, they raised a beautiful family that includes their beloved children, Bridget and Mike Kibby, and Brittany and Allan Nevlud. Butch took immense pride in being a father and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, Addison and Allyson Kibby, and Maelyn, Lily, and soon to be arriving Cohen Nevlud. He was a doting grandfather, always finding joy in their accomplishments and adventures.

Butch was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ethel and Arlie Moore, as well as his mother and father-inlaw, Una Mae and Benjamin Krenek.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Moore, his siblings Angie and John Henk, Jeff and Anita Moore, sister and brother-in-law Terri and Brandy McPhearson, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward his love and memories.

Known for his kind and generous spirit, Butch was the kind of man who would give anyone the shirt off his back. His friends and family will remember him not just for his kindness, but also for his passions. He found great joy in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and spend quality time with his loved ones. Butch also had a special bond with his best friend, Brandy McPhearson, who was by his side through thick and thin, and always down for a hunting trip.

Butch’s visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, from 12 to 8 p.m., at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl St., La Grange. Family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 815 St. Mary’s Church Rd., Fayetteville. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Please join the family immediately after the Funeral Mass, for a reception at St. Mary’s Catholic Church’s fellowship hall. At this time, we would like to invite friends, family, and all who knew him to come together to celebrate his remarkable life. As we reflect on his legacy, let us remember the kindness he showed to others and the love he shared with his family and friends. In this time of sorrow, may we find solace in our memories of Butch Moore, whose spirit will forever live on in our hearts. He was not just a husband, father, brother, and friend; he was a beacon of light in our lives, and he will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace.
