Mensik
Dorothy Mensik, 93, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother died peacefully at home on Nov. 3, 2025. She was born May 14, 1932 in Weimar to Adolf and Annie (Pavlik) Berger.
She married T.C. (Theodore) Mensik on Oct. 22, 1955. They had 68 wonderful years together and lived all those years on their farm north of Weimar.
She worked hard all her life. She was a farmer’s wife with four children. She worked the fields, helping when she could. T.C. and Dorothy were always a team. Dorothy managed the Weimar Dairy Queen for almost 25 years. T.C. helped out whenever he wasn’t farming or ranching. They loved dancing the Czech and German polkas and waltzes and were members of a polka club for many years. She and T.C. attended numerous Farm Bureau conventions around the country. They also made a trip to the Czech Republic to visit her father-in-law’s homeland.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband T.C., son Mark, sister Georgie Muras and brother Edwin Berger and all her sisters-inlaw and brothers- in-law.
Dorothy is survived by her three children: Dianne Martinez and husband Noah, Linda Wagner and husband Mike, Gary Mensik and wife Sharon, six grandchildren: Chad Wagner (Casey), Dustin Wagner (Holly), Lena Leemhuis (Jacob), Emily Roseberry (Ryan), Joshua Martinez (Andrea), and Alexis Perez (Eladio). She is also blessed with eleven great grandchildren: Brady, Ryder, Landon, Nora, Anderson, Ethan, Sawyer, Hudson, Naomi, Addison and Brooks. She is also survived by her faithful caregiver and friend, Laura Lleverino and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Henneke Funeral Home, 1515 Montezuma St., Columbus, Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. with a Rosary at 3 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 410 North Center St., Weimar, Monday, Nov. 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation at church from 9:3010:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chad Wagner, Dustin Wagner, Joshua Martinez, Eladio Perez, Brady Wagner, and Ryder Wagner.
