Matocha

Otillie Agnes (Chovanec) Matocha, 88, of La Grange, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025.

Otillie was born in Rosenberg on Nov. 6, 1936, the daughter of John and Frances (Hajdik) Chovanec.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, KJZT and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She is survived by two sons: Vincent Matocha and wife, Mary, of La Grange and Franklin Matocha, Jr. and wife, Holli, of Tavener; eight grandchildren: Anna and Ben Stribling; Greg, Nicholas and his wife, Peyton, Philip, Rachel, Dylan, and Matthew Matocha.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Benjamin Matocha; daughter, Angie Matocha; sister, Vera Becan; and two brothers: Johnnie and Ben Chovanec.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family will receive friends from 4 - 6 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 539 E. Pearl St., La Grange, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025. A graveside service will be held at West Gethsemane Cemetery in Rosenberg.
