Miles Donovan Leonard, known affectionately as Miles to everyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path, embarked on his final adventure on Feb. 14, 2025, at the youthful age of 19.

Born on Halloween in 2005, in the friendly town of Victoria, Miles was a young man whose life was as vibrant and full of surprises as the day he entered the world.

Growing up in the heart of Texas, La Grange High School was Miles’ stomping ground, where he was known for his quick wit and ability to turn even the dullest moments into a comedy sketch. After graduation, he dabbled in various jobs, from serving up smiles at Sonic to helping folks find their goods at Walmart. He even got his hands dirty at Tractor Supply and Hunter Industries, where his co-workers became part of his extended comedy audience.

Miles was a connoisseur of the simple pleasures in life. He was the reigning champion of game nights, a title he defended with the passion of a samurai from his beloved anime series.

Building legos was another of his superpowers, crafting worlds as colorful and creative as his sense of humor. His dedication to working out was only matched by his commitment to making his friends laugh until they cried.

And, let’s not forget his social media antics, where he was a self-proclaimed influencer of all things funny and friendly. Speaking of friends, if Miles’ social life was a TV show, it would have been a hit sitcom with an endless supply of episodes. He had the uncanny ability to turn strangers into friends and friends into family. His laughter was infectious, his jokes never missed the mark, and his thoughtful gestures could turn anyone’s bad day around.

Miles is survived by his mother, Darlene Cox, who undoubtedly passed down her sharp wit to her son; his little brother, Kameron Leonard, who was often the Watson to his Sherlock in their many escapades; his grandparents, Deborah and Darrell Cox, who provided endless material for his stand-up routines; and his father, Louis Leonard Jr.

Miles’ departure was unexpected, but he left behind a treasure trove of memories that will keep his spirit alive and chuckling. He had the rare gift of never taking life too seriously and reminded us all that laughter is the best medicine. So, while the curtains have closed on his final act, the encore of his impact will continue to resonate with all who knew him.

In true Miles fashion, let’s not end this on a somber note. Instead, imagine him in an alternate universe, cracking jokes with the angels and probably convincing them to binge-watch anime or build celestial legos. And somewhere up there, he’s looking down at us, flexing his angelic muscles, and whispering, “Keep laughing, folks. It’s all gonna be okay.”

To the funny, friendly, and thoughtful soul that was Miles Donovan Leonard: your punchlines will echo in our hearts forever. You may have left the stage too soon, but your legacy of laughter and love will continue to shine as brightly as your mischievous Halloweenborn spirit.

Rest in peace, Miles. You were truly one of a kind, and your encore will be the laughter you left behind.
