Lamza
Kevin Merlin Lamza left this world on April 27, 2025 at the age of 48, in La Grange. He was born on Jan. 7, 1977, in San Antonio to Albin and Pauline Lamza. Kevin grew up with a spirited zest for life that would become his signature trait.
Kevin grew up in Moulton, graduating from Moulton High School in 1995. He pursued school at Texas A&M University, where he met his loving wife, Amanda Radcliff Lamza. They married on Aug. 3, 2002, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange.
Kevin dedicated many years of service to the construction industry, most recently at FTK Construction. His colleagues respected him for his integrity, work ethic, and the mentorship he provided to many in the industry.
Outside of work, Kevin’s hobbies included hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. Kevin was a sports enthusiast and loved to watch his kids play baseball and volleyball. He was also passionate about helping his daughter with her steer project. He loved to travel and visit new places.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda, and his two children, Kenna and Kyler; his parents, Albin and Pauline; in-laws Brian and Brenda Killough; his siblings, Cindy (Dave) Fender, Brenda (Gene) Selzer, and Glenn (LeeAnn) Lamza; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, who all held a special place in his heart. Kevin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Mary Lamza and Roland and Meta Acker.
Kevin’s absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy of love and the memories shared will live on.
Kevin’s life was commemorated in a Memorial Service on Wednesday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange.
