Krause

Funeral services for Ludwig Krause, 87 of Northrup, are scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ludwig Carl Krause was born on Dec. 26, 1937, in Northrup, to Carl Herbert Krause and Olga Marie (Menzel) Krause. On September 21, 1958, Ludwig married the love of his life, Edna Leona Kasper, in her home church, St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, in Winchester.

Ludwig passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home in Northrup, the same home he was born in 87 years earlier, with his family by his side.

He is survived by his children, Daniel and Pam Krause of Serbin, Michael and Teresa Krause of Serbin, Carolyn and Rick Sawyer of Brandon, Mississippi, Curtis and Lyndy Krause of Giddings, Susan Michael of Northrup, Debra and Jim Carter of Houston, and Peggy and Hunter Schappaugh of Houston; his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous other loving family members and many friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
