Vicki Joan (Taylor) Konetzke, 75, of La Grange entered into eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022.

Vicki was born in Houston on Sept. 16, 1947 and is the daughter of the late Ella Inez “Pat” (Simmons) and Melvin “Meb” Taylor.

She graduated from Jones High School in Houston in 1966. After high school and starting a family, she attended classes for secretarial school and later court reporting. Thereafter, she had a fulfilling 30 year career in court reporting which allowed her to work from home as well as for Austin and Houston based court reporting agencies.

In October 1967, Vicki married Howard Konetzke, Jr. They raised two sons, Howard III and Michael, and a daughter, Shanna. They divorced in 1990 and remained close friends.

Vicki was a dedicated woman of faith, a devoted mother and an awesome friend. She loved scrap booking, playing bridge, and bunko. She was an excellent cook and was known for her famous fried chicken, broccoli cornbread, and biscuits and gravy. Above all else, Vicki valued her relationships with family and dear friends.

She is survived by her longtime best friend, Howard Walter Konetzke, Jr.; son, Howard “Bubba” and wife, Melissa “Missy” of Austin; son, Michael and wife, Joanna of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; daughter, Shanna and wife, Natasha of La Grange; grandchildren, Addison, Emily, Maiya, Jordan and Natalie; and her faithful companion and beloved dog, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Meb and her first cousin, Richard “Ricky” Simmons.

Visitation will be open to all on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. Burial will follow at Rutersville Cemetery, 4611 Old College Rd., La Grange (Rutersville).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Vicki Joan Konetzke Memorial gift fund at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center online or a charity of one’s choice in Vicki’s name.

Hannusch Clarence Carl Raymond Hannusch, 88, of Smithville, was called to his eternal rest on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022.

Rev. Jason M. Kaspar will officiate the Celebration of Life for Clarence at Grace Lutheran Church, Smithville, on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. and Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or the charity of one’s choice.
