Iris Eleonora (Manske) Jaster, 96, of Oldenburg, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024.

Iris was born in Oldenburg on Nov. 14, 1928, the daughter of Herbert G. Manske and Eleonora (Ahlhorn) Manske. Iris married Edwin Louis Jaster on March 20, 1949, in St. John Lutheran Church by Rev. William Fellen.

She was baptized on March 31, 1929, in St. John Lutheran Church in Warrenton by Rev. J.E. Scheffel and was confirmed on September 6, 1942, in St. John Lutheran Church by Rev. J. Bossshard.

Iris attended Oldenburg School, Fayetteville High School and Blinn College. She retired from the Fayette County Clerk’s Office on July 17, 1995.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School and Bible School. Iris was also a church choir member and a member of WELCU. She was also an active member of Quade Werchan Unit 338 American Legion Auxiliary of Round Top.

She is survived by daughter, Noreen Dopslauf; son, Gene Jaster and wife, Sheryl, all of La Grange; grandchildren: Ann Dopslauf Kunkel and husband, Troy; Jacob Dopslauf and wife, Abby, Matthew Jaster and wife, Jamie; and Ryan Jaster and wife, Rebeka; great grandchildren: Wade Jaster, Corban Dopslauf, Peyton Jaster, Waylon Kunkel, Judah Dopslauf, Brayden Jaster, Adley Jaster, and Savannah Bolding and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Eleonora Manske; husband, Edwin Jaster, son-in-law, Bruce Dopslauf; brothers: Edison Manske and wife, Dell; Wallis Manske and wife, Ethel.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, from 2 - 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services were held at St. John Lutheran Church, 4446 Texas 237, Round Top, at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024. Burial will followed at Waldeck Cemetery.
