Janak
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rodney L. Janak, who left this world on Dec. 23, 2024. He was a devoted father who loved his children immensely. Rodney was a man of deep faith and kindness. We find comfort in knowing that he has gone to be with the Lord and now rests peacefully in heaven.
Rodney was born on Aug. 16, 1970, to the late Wilbur and Joyce (Kennedy) Janak in Wharton.
Rodney leaves behind his son, Kyle Janak and fiance Charity Pryor; his daughter Gabrielle Janak, and former wife Delores Moreno.
He is also survived by his brothers, Ray (Penny) Janak and Rob (Darlene) Janak; sister, Gina (Brian) Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished as his own.
Rodney was a faithful servant of God. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in La Grange and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 2574. He always looked forward to assisting with events and the camaraderie with his fellow knights.
Rodney worked for UPS for 31 years. He took great pride in his work and treated every customer as a dear friend. One of the most defining things about him was his charismatic personality with an infectious smile and laughter. He was truly the life of the party and never met a stranger.
In his free time he loved cooking for family and friends, fishing, and always cheering on his favorite team, The Texas Longhorns.
