Flora Bertha Jahnz, 102, of La Grange, died on March 3, 2024.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top with Pastor John David Nedbalek officiating. Burial will follow at Carmine Cemetery.

Flora was born on Oct. 31, 1921 in Burton, to Gustav Herman Arndt and Ella Glaesmann. She married her husband, Paul Jahnz, on Dec. 21, 1941.

Flora enjoyed gardening and canning. She raised goats and cattle and worked at the Pioneer Art Foundation in Henkel Square. She was involved and enjoyed the church quilting group. She lived and enjoyed living in Round Top for over seventy years.

Flora is survived by her sister-in-law, Maxine Arndt of Houston; sister, Mary Ann Prestwood of Sugarland; nieces and nephews, Jack Waldemar and Betty Schramm, Doris Jean Gebhard and Chester, Maydelle Copeland and Clarence, Larry Levien and Linda, Ronnie Jahnz and Jo, Floyd Arndt and Linda, Walter Arndt and Betty, Steven Arndt and Renee, Brian Arndt and Yvonne, Laura Taylor and John, Karen Fishbeck and Russell, Leisa Funck, Renee Richardson and Brad, Leah Stevens and Andrew, and Kane Prestwood; and over thirty great nieces and nephews; and numerous greatgreat nieces and nephews.

Flora is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents, Gustav and Ella Arndt; brothers and sisters- in-law, Clarence Arndt, Floyd and wife Annette Arndt, Gus and wife Margaret Arndt, and Ed Arndt; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mabel and husband Waldemar Schramm, Lenora and husband Herbert Jahnz, Ella Mae and husband Hershel Levien, Vera and husband Bob Hudgins, and John I. Prestwood.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Schramm, Ronnie Jahnz, Floyd Arndt, Walter Arndt, Kane Prestwood, Luke Levien, and Brian Arndt. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Larry Levien and Steve Arndt.

Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top and the Round Top Library.
