Funeral services for Alois Jaeger, 93, of Giddings, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings, with Rev. John Waak officiating. Entombment followed in the Giddings City Mausoleum.
Alois James Jaeger was born on Feb. 23, 1932, in Carmine, to Edwin and Frieda (Marx) Jaeger.Al passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, at his farm in Lincoln.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Deanna Jaeger of Giddings; his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Tim Walther of Giddings; his grandchildren— Jacob and Maycee Jaeger; Jansen and Savannah Jaeger of Giddings; Kaylen Jaeger of Austin; Hudson and Brooklyn Walther; and Jaxson and Jarett Jaeger of College Station— and three great-grandchildren, Sutton, Jack, and Taitum Jaeger of Giddings; his brother, Murray Jaeger (with Terri Lyons) of Serbin; and his sister, Mickey Hannes of Houston.
