Hermsdorf
Henrietta (Bell) Hermsdorf, 94, of Spring, formerly of La Grange, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Henrietta was born in Smithville on Dec. 30, 1929, the daughter of the late Henry and Fronie (Fleck) Bell. She graduated from La Grange High School in 1947.
Henrietta married the love of her life, Lester Hermsdorf, on Aug. 28, 1948. She worked for Verizon formerly known as Southwestern Bell Company in La Grange, retiring from a position held in Information Technology.
Henrietta lived for most of her life in La Grange but moved to Spring in 2010 to live with her son, Michael and his wife, Vicki due to health issues. She was a devoted wife and mother and held a special place in her heart for her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Michael Hermsdorf and wife, Vicki of Spring; four grandchildren: Sydni Hermsdorf White and husband Curtis, Micah Hermsdorf Avance and husband Joel, Kaysie Hermsdorf Boyls and husband Dalton, and Reagan Hermsdorf; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister- in- law, Josephine Bell of Houston.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; and three brothers: Harvey, Franklin, and Elmer (Mike) Bell.
Before Henrietta passed away, she expressed an immense feeling of gratitude for the love and care given to her over the years by her son, Michael and her daughter- inlaw, Vicki; along with a special thanks to Cheryl Foster for her kindness and the excellent care she also provided to Henrietta.
Henrietta was loved so dearly by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She will be remembered for her devotion to her mother and husband in their declining days and her love of coffee and The Price is Right!
A visitation will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with family present at this time to receive friends. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Henrietta stated that guests may give a memorial donation to a charity of one’s choice.
