Hentschel

Frances Anne (Behrens) Hentschel, 93, of Fayetteville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023.

Frances was born in La Grange on June 25, 1930, the daughter of Elsie (Medack) and Alfred Behrens.

Frances grew up in the La Grange area. At 20 years old she married Florence “Folly” Ahlschlager on Feb. 19, 1950. Together they raised six daughters and two sons until his passing. Later on June 5, 1982, Frances married Robert L Hentschel Sr.

She was a homemaker and loving mother, wife and grandmother. She loved quilting and embroidering.

She is survived by six daughters: Linda Green, Jacksonville; Jo Ann Raschke and husband, Bruce of Mullins; Kathy Paxton and husband, Skip of Whitesboro; Sandy Burton of Pearland; Judy Scott of Beaumont, and Pam Gerik and husband, Ronnie of Fayetteville; one son, Steve Ahlschlager and wife, Carol of Cypress; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Marilyn Spillane of La Grange; two brothers: Clarence Behrens of Frelsburg and Weldon Schellberg of Flatonia; two sistersin- law: Patsy Hess and husband, Jerry of West Point and Beatrice Wasut of Fayetteville; four stepdaughters; three stepsons; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one son, Mike Ahlschlager; one son-in-law, Jack Burton; six sisters-in- law: Josie Behrens, Sylvia Schellberg, Gladys Ahlschlager, Winnie Trlicek, Lois Hentschel, and Helen Schlotterbeck; six brothers-in-law: Franklin Ahlschlager Sr.; Bennie Trlicek, Sr.; Clarence Wasut; Louis Hentschel; Jack Spillane and Doran Jones; and two stepsons: Ronald Hentschel and Donald Hentschel Sr.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange. Family received friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral Services were held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023. Burial was held on Friday,Aug. 18, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jason Paxton, Ronnie Patke, Donnie Patke, Keith Scott, Richard Ahlschlager, Kyle Gerik and Lane Ahlschlager In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 800 N. Franklin St., La Grange, TX 78945.
