Hale

Hale Gene Wesley Hale, 93, of La Grange, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Gene was born in San Antonio on Feb. 2, 1932, the son of Carl and Edith (Wainscott) Hale. He married Rossie Lea Bond on July 20, 1954, in Billings, Montana.

He is survived by two daughters: Laurie Hale of La Grange, and Christie Machala of Baytown; grandchildren: Emilie Downs and husband, Joshua; Alley Thundercloud and Keith Alonzo; Samantha Dricks and husband, Richard; Dallas McDougal and husband, Timothy; great grandchildren: Gabby Andrus; James and Jacob Downs; Rowan and Zalea; Isla Rose Dricks; sister-in-law, Jimmie Sterle; cousin, Bill Wainscott and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at the Winchester City Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations of La Grange.
