Guzman
Services for Nicky Guzman, 78, of Bryan, were held at 10 a.m., April 19, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Rutersville, with Pastor Candy O’Meara officiating. Interment followed at Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top.
Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Mr. Guzman passed away April 9, 2022 at his home in Bryan surrounded by his family.
Nicky was born July 15, 1943 to Thomas Guzman, Sr. and Dora (Sandoval) Guzman in Katy.
Nicky was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellinger and he loved to work with his hands, especially making crosses.
Nicky was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie (Goates) Guzman; sister, Gracie Dolejsi; brother-in-law, Pete Gomez; sister-n-law, Vicki Guzman, sister-in-law, Pat Bolin; and brother-in-law, Tim Bolin.
He is survived and remembered by his loving family: son, Wayne Guzman of Flatonia; daughter, Regina Guzman of Bryan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Wanda Guzman, Jr., of Brookshire, Raymond and Elda Guzman of New Caney, Charles Guzman of La Grange, Joe Guzman and Debbie Carson of Houston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita Gomez of Sealy, Joey (Guzman) and Jimmy Chandler of Magnolia, Lucia Guzman of Colorado; grandchildren, Donna and Robert Weigand, Albert Hernandez, III, Ariana Hernandez, Colby Guzman, Payton Guzman, Parker Guzman; great grandchild, Maverick Weigand; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones and friends.
Pallbearers were Rodney Meyers, Michael Gomez, Marcus Gomez, Eli Guzman, Colby Guzman and Junior Henslee.
The family suggests Memorials be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
