Grunwald
Elizabeth “Becky” Day Grunwald, 71, of Greenville, passed away on Jan. 29, 2025. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville, Texas.
Becky was born Oct. 18, 1953, in Dallas, to Joe Day, Jr. and Bobbie Leatherwood Day.
She graduated from Greenville High School in 1972 and then earned her master’s in Library Science with an English minor from North Texas State University in 1977. Upon graduating she moved to Wallis to start her librarian career. She later worked at E-Systems/ Raytheon/L3 from 1998-2014.
In 1980, Becky married Arnold Grunwald. They had two daughters, Sarah and Nancy. The family moved to Snook in 1984. Becky moved back to the family homestead in Greenville with the girls in 1998.
Becky loved researching, reading, and talking. She was always making conversation with people everywhere she went.
She is survived by her two daughters: Sarah Grunwald of Farmers Branch and Nancy Anderson and husband, Louis, of West Point; two brothers: Charles Day of Greenville, and John Day of Burleson along with their significant others; six grandchildren: Luke, Hannah, Asher, Gideon, Ezra and Boaz Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bobbie Day; and grandparents, Sally A (Wineger) and Joseph E. Leatherwood and Ethel (Eckles) and Joseph H Day.
