Becker Funeral services for Monroe Becker, 90, of Serbin, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by the Giddings American Legion York Post 276, followed in the church cemetery.

Monroe Herman Becker was born on May 14, 1933 in Serbin to Martin Ernst and Minnie Selma (Noack) Becker.

Monroe passed away the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024 at the Towers Nursing Home in Smithville.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin or to the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.

Funeral services for Herman Gersch, 93 of Northrup, were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, Texas with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by the Giddings American Legion York Post 276, followed in the church cemetery.

Herman Theodore Gersch was born on Dec. 21, 1930 in Northrup to Theodore Ernest Gersch and Olga (Steglich) Gersch.

Herman passed away peacefully the morning of Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024 at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin following a long and blessed life.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, the St. Paul Lutheran Church LWML, the Texas Wendish Heritage Society, or to the charity of one’s choice.
