Su (Collins) Field, 81, of La Grange, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.

Su was born on May 23, 1940 in Lovington, New Mexico to the late Carder and Opal (Lane) Collins.

She married the love of her life, Daniel Marvin Field on June 20, 1957 in Lubbock. Su and Daniel were blessed to have shared twenty-seven years of marriage until his passing in 1985.

Su dedicated her entire life to caring for her family. Later in life, Su worked as a waitress for Bon Ton Restaurant in La Grange and also as a cashier for Walmart for ten years. Su was a social butterfly, and truly loved visiting with her customers.

Su had a talent for sewing and crocheting. She was also an avid reader. Most of all Su enjoyed spending quality time with her family and held a special place in her heart for her precious grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Daniel Field and wife, Donna of Giddings; Carl Field of La Grange; Simona Giambrone and husband, Todd of Lake Charles, La.; and Michelle Michalka and husband, Jeff of La Grange; seven grandchildren: Adrian Lara (Lupe), Dane Lara (Bryanie), Marcus Lara (Lacy), Keenan Michalka (Mandie), Kalyn Michalka, Brittni Adams (Mikey), and Adison Giambrone; twenty-three great grandchildren; and two special nieces: Lucretia Stephens and husband, Zane of Levelland and Stephanie Crawford of Whiteface. Numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.

Su was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel Field; one sister, Lu Ella Nichols and husband, James; and her infant grandson, Gannon Michael Giambrone.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
