Verline M. Fellman, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023.

Verline was born in Fayetteville, June 1, 1936, a daughter of Frank and Betty “Bessie” Novosad.

Verline graduated from St. John School in Fayetteville in 1954. On Oct. 8, 1956, she married the love of her life, Raphael Joe Fellman in Fayetteville at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Later, Verline and Raphael moved to Houston and, together, raised their five boys. Verline worked as the Cafeteria Manager for Stovall Middle School in Aldine Independent School District, retiring after 30 years of service. After retirement, they returned home to Fayetteville where Verline was an active member of the Altar Society for St John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Verline enjoyed baking, gardening and, above all, spending her time with family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Frank Novosad and wife, Dorothy of Lake Jackson; sons: Daryl of Fayetteville; Johnnie and wife, Debbie of Spring; Joe and wife, Connie of Spring, and Michael and wife, Kimberly of Montgomery; daughter-in-law, Treva of Tomball; ten grandchildren: Amanda (Jacob Quilizapa), Nathan (Martha Ann), Annie, Bryan, Jason (Christina), Joseph (Bekah), Carina (Jared Gardner), Lauren, Madelyn and Ryan Fellman; and ten great-grandchildren.

Verline was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Betty Novosad; beloved husband of 67 years, Raphael Fellman; and son, Larry Fellman.

Visitation was held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fayetteville, on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Holy Rosary was be recited at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fayetteville, on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Steve Sauser officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville.
