Charles Henry Dolezal, beloved husband, father, and esteemed professor, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 in Wimberley.

Born in La Grange, Charles earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees from the University of Texas, forging a lifelong commitment to academia. For over 35 years, Charles dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge and the education of others as a professor at Texas State University.

Through his pursuit of knowledge and excellence, he inspired his students with a passion for teaching and lifelong learning.

Charles cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband of 55 years to Carroll, brother to James, a loving father to his children Carl and Christi, and a cherished fatherin- law to Sarah and Cullen. His grandchildren, Cade and Coy, brought him immeasurable joy, and he took great pride in watching them grow.

Charles Henry Dolezal leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication to family and education. His warm smile, gentle demeanor, colorful colloquialisms, and witty sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Memorial services will take place Saturday, June 15 at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. His final resting place will be St. Stephen’s Cemetery Columbarium.
