Raymond Scott Chapman, 67, of La Grange, passed away on Jan. 10, 2026, surrounded by close family.

Raymond was born on Aug. 4, 1958, in Truth or Consequences, N.M. He lived a life grounded in love for his family and those closest to him. A devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Raymond will be remembered for his strength, his steady presence, and the care he showed in both quiet and meaningful ways.

Raymond loved the outdoors and spent much of his time enjoying nature, his motorcycle, his Jeep, and any kind of body of water, whether fishing, boating, or simply relaxing by it. These passions brought him joy and countless memories with family and friends.

Those who knew Raymond best will carry with them his stories, his laughter, and the moments shared together. His legacy lives on through the family he loved deeply.

Raymond is survived by his parents, Lorna and Larry Boatright; his children, Crystal Chapman, Scott Chapman, Nicole Bernal, and Aubrey Chapman and her fiancée, Darrin Pringle; his 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Richard Chapman; Rhonda and John Hill; Ramona Pantalion; Robin Pantalion - Terry Price; Wendy Boatright; and Rocky Pantalion. He was also a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a friend to all.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Raymond’s life will be held on Jan. 31, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange.
